INSTRUCTIONS FOR WOODEN DÉCOUPAGE HOME CRAFTS ITEM
	Follow MODGE PODGE instructions, but do not varnish, and continue as follows:
	Apply a thin coat of BASE COAT FOR SMALL CRACKS (or if you prefer BASE COAT FOR LARGE CACKS). Wait till dry. Apply a second layer and wait till dry. Each application of BASE COAT takes about 30 minutes to dry.
	With a dry brush or sponge applicator, apply a layer of TOP COAT. Ensure that the entire surface is coated well. Work quickly – it is not advisable to rework areas that have started drying. Allow to dry for a few hours.
	THE CRACKS ARE BEARLY VISIBLE at this stage. You will need to rub MAGIC TOUCH or ARTISTS OIL COLOURS into cracks. Put a drop of turpentine onto the cloth you use to rub in MAGIC TOUCH or OILS.
	If you want to protect the surface wait at least 5 days and then apply 2-3 coats of Solvent Based SEAL SKIN (UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES CAN A WATER-BASED SEALER BE USED OVER ANTIQUE CRACKLE.) SEAL SKIN is not heat-resistant. If your project requires a stronger sealer, use PU SOLVENT -BASED VARNISH.

TOP TIPS FOR ANTIQUE CRACKLE Pour BASE COAT and TOP COAT into a saucer and work form the saucer. Do not pour leftovers back into the bottle. To thin TOP COAT for easy appliation, place TOP COAT bottle in warm water. BASE COAT dries in about 30 minutes while TOP COAT takes several hours.

Use MAGIC TOUCH to stencil onto porous surfaces. Mix turpentine into a little MAGIC TOUCH until you have the desired paint consistency. Paint and then seal with SEAL SKIN or PU7 VARNISH. Clean brushes with turpentine.
